#2024-124360/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At approximately 2157 hrs., calls received reporting shots fired in the 500 blk of 31 Ave. Officers arrived and located 15 9mm FCCs. No persons were injured. Several rounds struck the victim’s residence and a neighboring residence. A father and son reported they were standing on their porch when they were shot at by an occupant of a passing vehicle. GVRU screened the incident.
#2024-124443/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0033 hours, Officers responded to the area of 9900 block of Rainier Av S for a report of two vehicles shooting at each other. Officers located the scene spread from the 10200 block to the 9900 block. No victims or property damage was located. Officers photographed and collected multiple shell casings in total with one bullet fragment. All evidence was submitted. Two suspect vehicles involved.
#2024-124188/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On the given date and time University of Washington Police Dept. requested assistance for a high-profile speaker on their campus. The incident attracted over 1K attendees with an additional 1K outside the venue. Partial task force was activated (North, West and SW). SPD personnel provided support to UWPD. Lt. Waldorf responded to the event.
#2024-124974/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1332 hours, Officers responded to a suicide person call in the 400 blk of 11 AV E. Upon arrival, they contacted the subject. The subject made comments of wanting to die to the officers but was cooperative. The subject agreed to go to the hospital voluntarily, and as they were leaving the subject’s apartment, he walked out leaving the door to his apartment open. One of the officers went to close the front door to secure the unit and this is when the subject approached from the rear and reached for the officer’s holstered duty weapon and attempted to disarm him. After a brief struggle the officers were able to take the subject into custody. Both officers sustained visible but minor injuries and were treated at the scene by SFD. He was booked for Investigation of Assault and attempting to disarm a Law Enforcement Officer.
#2024-125372/South Precinct/Third Watch:
Officers responded to a trespass in the 7900 block of Rainier Av S. Officers contacted intoxicated subject and asked him to leave. Subject was advised that if he returned, he would be subject to arrest. Subject went across the street and exposed himself to everyone at the location and then promptly returned. Officers contacted the subject and placed him under arrest. Subject then spat on both officers. AMR responded and transported the suspect to HMC and then booked into KCJ for Assault 3. Exposure packet was completed. 233 was notified of the incident.
