Two Arrested Following Burglary and Assault, Stolen Gun, Balaclavas, Ammunition Recovered

Seattle Police arrested two suspects and recovered a stolen gun following an occupied residential burglary investigation in the Rainier Valley, last month.

On April 20th, at approximately 9:40 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call in the 9400 block of Rainier Avenue South and located a 26-year-old female with multiple injuries.

Officers determined that three suspects in their 20s forced their way into the victim’s residence and assaulted her with an improvised weapon. The suspects fled the area in a vehicle and were not located.

The Seattle Fire Department arrived on scene and treated the woman for her injuries. Two children were also inside the residence, yet they were unharmed.

During their investigation, officers processed the scene and located evidence including firearm accessories, yet no associated weapon.

The following morning on April 21st, patrol officers located two of the suspects in the associated vehicle and arrested them. During the investigation, officers found balaclava masks and ammunition.

Officers seized the vehicle and applied for a search warrant. Upon service of the warrant, police recovered multiple pieces of evidence including a stolen handgun.

Two of the suspects were booked into King County Jail for Residential Burglary, Assault 1st Degree, and Felony Harassment. The third suspect is currently at large.
