Seattle Police are investigating a fatal collision in the Chinatown International District Sunday night.
At 11:27 p.m., patrol officers responded to a person struck by a vehicle near 12th Avenue South and South Weller Street. They found a 63-year-old female in the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Officers and the Seattle Fire Department arrived on scene and treated the victim. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. Despite all life-saving efforts, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The driver and passenger remained on scene and cooperated with police. They were not injured. The driver was evaluated by patrol officers and was not impaired.
