Seattle Police arrested a felony warrant suspect armed with a handgun in the Yesler Terrace neighborhood Friday night.
On May 31st at 11:14 p.m., officers were patrolling the 1000 block of South Jackson Street when they located a known suspect and placed him into custody for an arrest warrant.
The 31-year-old male was in possession of a handgun with an extended magazine and over 100 rounds of ammunition. Officers also seized burglary tools and suspected stolen property.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Charges were requested for Obstructing a Public Officer, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
Detectives in the Gun Violence Reduction Unit will take the lead on this case. Additional charges may follow as they complete their investigation.
