#2024-148346/West Precinct/First Watch:
At approximately 0501 hours, officers responded to the report of shots fired in the area of 12th Ave and S Main St. Officers arrived and located blood and multiple shell casings in the street; however, no victims were at the scene. A short time later, HMC reported that two GSW victims were in the ER. Patrol officers and GVRU detectives responded to HMC and interviewed the victims, both of whom were reported to be in stable condition. An involved vehicle was located and towed to the processing room. GVRU processed the shooting scene, where multiple handgun and rifle FCCs were recovered. 213 and PIO notified.
#2024-148371/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0623, officers were dispatched to a suicide call at the Magnolia Bridge after receiving reports of a subject seen off the overpass with a rope tied around his neck and hanging. Upon arrival the subject was already deceased. SFD assisted in safely securing the deceased subject and lowering them. Narcotics paraphernalia was located on the deceased. Medical Examiner responded to the scene to take custody of the body. No signs of suspicious circumstances during time of investigation.
#2024-148838/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At approximately 1755 hours, two subjects were inside the VPOTUS event when they caused a disruption. Officers escorted the two subjects outside, and the property manager trespassed on both subjects. Both subjects were identified and released at the scene. 241 was present and screened the incident.
#2024-148870/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1857, officers responded to the area of an attempted kidnapping. Suspect opened complainant’s car door and attempted to take their child from the vehicle. Suspect ran from scene before officers arrived. Officers conducted an area check and could not locate the suspect in the area. Cameras were located in the area, and officers interviewed a witness in the area.
