Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) are investigating an injury shooting and collision Sunday evening.
At 8:33 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting and a collision at North 130th Street and Aurora Avenue North.
Police found a 21-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds (GSW). They provided medical aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived and continued treatment. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious, but stable condition.
The shooting resulted in a three vehicle-collision. The GSW victim’s car sustained significant bullet damage and was transported to the vehicle processing room.
Officers recovered multiple shell casings from the scene. A nearby business sustained collateral bullet damage.
The circumstances leading up to this shooting are under investigation. The suspect fled the area and was not located.
GVRU detectives arrived and processed the crime scene and will take lead on the investigation.
