#2024-156365/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0306 hours, SW Patrol responded to a report of a Motor Vehicle Collision involving a KC Metro Coach into a building. Officers arrived and found the involved articulate bus to have driven into a fence and hanging off of an 8-foot ledge. No building or residence had been struck. The driver reported swerving to avoid a collision with an object in the road before losing control. The bus had a handful of passengers, and the only complaint of pain was from a single intoxicated rider. KC Metro Supervisors responded to the scene and the coach was eventually towed from the ledge. 253 was notified of the incident.
#2024-156167/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 2208 hours officers responded to a rollover collision at 15 Ave S and Golf Dr S. Upon arriving patrol discovered a single vehicle driving north on 14 Ave S had struck multiple parked unoccupied vehicles before rolling and coming to rest on its top. Driver was unresponsive and extracted by SFD. Driver was transported to HMC by SFD. Officers obtained and served a blood warrant. Incident screened with TCIS.
#2024-156330/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0200 hours, officers responded to an apartment in the 2500 block of 29 Ave S to a report of someone shot. Officers arrived and located a juvenile female in one of the apartments that had been shot in the neck. The suspect fled prior to officers arriving on scene. Officers provided medical aid until SFD arrived and transported the victim to HMC in serious condition. GVRU responded to the scene and HMC to assist with the investigation. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
#2024-155991/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1952 hours officers responded to the Rainier Beach Safeway for a trespass call. Once their store security reported that approximately an hour prior a known shoplifter had taken items from the store and when security followed her into the parking lot, she told them “I’ll stab you if you don’t get the f*ck off me.” Store security backed away and the suspect left the area. Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspect.
#2024-156596/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 1107 hours, the suspect entered the store, began to walk around and when told by the employee not to steal, got angry and went to the counter yelling at staff to go back to their country and they would “f– up” and kill the employee while pounding on a glass display case. The case broke, the suspect picked up a large shard holding it up and continuing his diatribe on going back to their country and threatening the employee. The suspect was located and booked into KCJ for Harassment – Bias, Inv of Property Damage and an earlier incident of assault.
#2024-156754/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1403 hours a call came out of a drowning at South Lake Union Park. All Harbor units working responded as well as patrol and SFD. The first Harbor Unit marked the location, and the victim was found in 14 feet of water by SFD rescue swimmers as SPD divers arrived on scene. The victim was immediately transferred to a medic unit and taken to HMC. The victim is being treated at the time of this writing.
#2024-156267/West Precinct/Third Watch:
0027 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers responded to a 911 hangup from a business line with a female caller saying, “please hurry”. When Officers arrived, they observed an unconscious and not breathing subject on the ground outside of the business. Officers started CPR and requested SFD. When an Officer entered the business to look for witnesses, he observed a male mopping blood from the floor. Additionally, there was blood on the wall, a mirror, and a television. The male was ordered to stop cleaning. Given the unknown nature of the down male’s injuries and the apparent destruction of evidence, all the occupants of the business were detained. Within the business Officers also located a male with a cut to his hand, and another with an abrasion under his eye. A Vietnamese speaking Officer responded to the scene to assist with translation and interviewing witness and potential suspects. Video surveillance from inside of the business showed a large disturbance involving the down male, and multiple other party goers, including the other two males who had injuries. However, there was no moment on video that showed the down male suffering any significant injury. Additionally, SFD reported that there was no trauma located on the down male, and that this may just be a medical emergency. SFD was able to regain a pulse, but the male was unable to breathe for himself. The male was transported by Medic 1 to HMC in critical condition. The given the suspicious circumstances surrounding the male’s condition, the incident was screened by Homicide and the scene was processed by patrol. As of 0245 the male remained in critical condition at HMC.
#2024-157115/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At approximately 2130 hours officers responded to a reports of a robbery at Sky Massage. Officers arrived and the owner of the business reported that approximately an hour prior an unknown suspect entered the business, pointed a gun at her and demanded money. The owner provided him with about $400 in cash and the male suspect walked west from the area. No shots were fired. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect. Victim was able to provide security video with suspect’s face.
#2024-157086/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2033 hours, officers responded to N 130 St and Aurora Ave N to reports of shots fired followed by a collision. Officers arrived and located a 3-car collision where one of the vehicles had sustained significant bullet damage. Officers provided first aid to the occupant of this vehicle that had sustained multiple GSWs until SFD arrived and transported him to HMC in serious but stable condition. Officers recovered two dozen handgun caliber FCCs from the scene and impounded the victim’s vehicle to the VPR for further investigation. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. GVRU responded to the scene to assist with processing.
#2024-157168/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2227 hours, officers responded to multiple calls hearing shots fired. Officers located a scene in the 9400 block of Rainier Ave S. Officers located 25 9mm shell casings. No victims, damage or witnesses were located. GVRU notified.
#2024-156993/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1900 hours, West Pct patrol officers were dispatched to an armed carjacking near Lumen Field. The victim was seated in the driver’s seat of his running vehicle when the suspect suddenly approached. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded he exit his vehicle. The suspect entered and quickly fled the scene. West patrol officers arrived on scene and immediately began tracking the victim’s phone which was left inside the vehicle. The information was provided to WSP and King County Sheriffs who located the vehicle in Auburn. While on scene they also located a male matching the suspect’s description in the area. The male was detained, and a loaded handgun was found on his person. The male was positively identified by the victim as the suspect from the carjacking. Robbery Detectives were contacted and responded to interview the suspect. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Robbery 1.
