#2024-165415/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At approximately 0350 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 100 BLK of 10 AV S to investigate reports of shots being heard. While Officers were searching for the area a victim called in to report that their window had been struck and bullet came into their apartment. Officers responded to the designated unit and discovered bullet damage. Based on the location of the damage Officers were able to locate a scene outside where they discovered 2 shell casings. GVRU screened the incident over the phone and Patrol processed the scene and collected evidence.
#2024-165528/North Precinct/First Watch:
At approximately 0734 HRS, a male victim was dropped off at NW Hospital with a single GSW to his ankle. The victim refused to provide any information to Officers. The location of the scene is unknown. GVRU was notified.
#2024-165972/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1541 hours, a passerby reported hearing an explosion and seeing fire on the 200 blk of 14 Ave E. Upon arrival SPD and SFD found a vehicle engulfed in flames in the car port directly underneath an occupied apartment building. After putting out the flames, it was determined to be intentionally set by an unknown suspect. Fire Marshall 5 responded to the scene. No suspect located.
#2024-165990/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1555 hours, business reported that someone had spray painted “Genocide in Gaza” on the side of their building. They believed they were targeted due to their religious association.
#2024-165800/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1248 hours, a 911 caller reported that there was a vehicle with men flashing guns around. Patrol officers arrived and the driver immediately fled on foot and tossed a handgun back into the vehicle. He was arrested moments later. The remaining 4 suspects (All Juveniles) were removed from the vehicle where a second handgun was seized. The car was impounded and is currently waiting for warrant approval. Two of the five suspect were booked into YSC, the rest were released to their mothers.
#2024-166096/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1749 Officers responded to location reference a stabbing. Upon investigation and video review, the male suspect and victim got into a verbal altercation that turned physical at which time the male suspect stabbed and slashed the victim. It was also discovered, after the stabbing, the male suspect passed the knife to the friend (female suspect), who attempted to conceal it prior to police arrival. Knife was recovered. Male suspect was booked for Assault 1 and the female suspect was booked for Rendering Criminal Assistance. Patrol processed the scene.
#2024-166354/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2256 hours, officers arrived with Seattle Fire for a fire that had spread to an occupied building. The incident was in the 700 block of 7th Ave. Fire put out the fire and observed visible damage to the property. Fire Marshal 5 was on scene and determined that items were placed against the door of the property and was intentionally set by an unknown person. There were no reported victims. There is security camera located on scene. The incident was screened with ABS.
