#2024-189262/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0819, officers responded to a call to service near E Thomas St and Boylston Ave E. The victim stated that a known suspect had just punched her, presented a firearm and stolen her bag. The suspect fled, last seen southbound on Harvard Ave E. Officers conducted an area check that led to negative results.
#2024-189176/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At 0623 hours, Officers responded to the area of 30 Ave SW/SW Roxbury St, to assist Seattle Fire who was extinguishing a brush fire with the suspect still at the scene. Witnesses informed Officers that the male suspect was seen throwing items into the fire causing it to grow. SFD extinguished the tree which was adjacent to a building. The fire caused some exterior damage to the building; it did not spread any further. The suspect was taken into custody with PC for Investigation of Reckless Burning 1. After a records check, the suspect returned with several unverified misdemeanor warrants for reckless burning. Post Miranda, the suspect admitted to starting the fire by throwing a lit cigarette at the tree. The suspect was transported and booked to KCJ for felony Reckless Burning. This incident was screened with 251 and ABS.
#2024-189564/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1244 hours, an unknown black male suspect arrived and approached a home in the 2600 block of Cascadia Av S. He made a false claim about his property being inside the home. Multiple suspects then forced their way inside. The victim was pistol whipped and escorted through the home at gunpoint. After demanding money and valuables the suspects fled the scene. Robbery responded to the scene.
