#2024-194523/Southwest Precinct/3rd Watch:
At 0021 hours, Officers responded to a robbery at a gas station in the 8800 block 14 Ave S. Officers arrived and contacted the victim who stated multiple suspects wearing dark clothing and masks entered the store and at least one suspect pointed a gun at him demanding the money from the cash register and the victim’s phone. The other suspects stole Vape products. The suspect struck the victim in the head with the gun before they all fled the store. They were last seen fleeing the area in a grey sedan. A witness called 911 to report the incident. An area check was negative. The incident was screened with the Robbery Unit.
#2024-194757/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0823 hours, Officers responded to the 600 block of Fullerton Ave for a Burglary call. 15-year-old awaken to a stranger sleeping on the sofa. Officer arrived on scene and located the subject asleep. The subject was arrested for Burglary without incident.
#2024-194963/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1136 hours, the incident occurred at King County Court House 4th floor Public Defender Office 516 3rd Avenue. A known crisis suspect had been sending letters to the office for years writing about the local government, the school system, and the city of Seattle. All letters were non-threatening, and the staff wasn’t very concerned about it. Today at approximately 1136 hours, a staff member found a letter from the suspect and opened it. As she opened it, some white powdery substance fell out of the letter. King County Court immediately went into locked down and the 4 floor was evacuated. SPD Patrol and SFD Hazmat Team responded. SFD Hazmat determined that the powder was crushed medicine and harmless. The letter and powder were turned over to SPD for evidence. SPD Intel, ABS, and PIO were advised. Unit 212 A/LT Johnson responded to the scene as IC. KCSO and KC Court Security Guard assisted SPD with scene security. Patrol Officers processed the scene. Officers attempted to find the suspect, but the address provided was B/O. No injury was reported. The report was forwarded to ABS and Intel.
#2024-195037/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1242 hours, Officers responded to a transient camp near 23 AV S / S Walker ST to the report of a disturbance where a shot was fired. Officers contacted the complainant who confirmed that a shot was heard. Officers contacted residents at the camp and determined that two people got into an argument, and as one of the parties was leaving, they fired a shot. No one was injured. The suspect left the area and was not located. No one knew who the suspect was or where they went. One shell casing was located.
#2024-195081/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1327 hours, Officers responded to a shoplifting incident at the Bartells in the 2300 blk of Rainier AV S. The suspect took $25 worth of beer and fled the store. Officers located the suspect getting onto a Metro Bus. During the arrest, the suspect kicked an Officer in the shin causing an abrasion. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Assault 3. The Officer did not require medical attention.
