#2024-200422/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0228 hours, multiple callers reported two vehicles speeding through the north end, firing handguns. 3 scenes were located by patrol and one suspect vehicle was abandoned and sent to the processing room for GVRU. Between the 3 scenes, patrol recovered approximately 3 x 9mm rounds, 7 x .40 caliber rounds, 15 x .45 caliber rounds.

#2024-200446/East Precinct/First Watch:

At 0536 hours, during Third watch shift the male subject called 911 over 30 times making various alleged complaints (#24-200171), generating several Police calls for response, to which no such events were located. Then on 7-20 at approx. 0530hrs. The male subject exited his apt. and approached his neighbor’s front door knocking and yelling that he needed to get inside. The subject then punched through the glass door window frame, breaking the glass and reaching his arm inside the door and attempting to open the doorknob. The suspect was unsuccessful, removed his arm and then yelled threats to Kill the victim resident. The resident told the subject to get away and called 911. The suspect then eventually returned to his unit and locked himself inside. East First watch officers responded to the scene and set up containment. Officers attempted to contact the suspect who refused to come to the door. Officers could see the suspect inside the unit and confirmed his identity via the victim. 1E and 1G responded to the scene. HNT was contacted and responded to the scene. 211 screened the initial incident and responded, till 241 also responded to took control of the scene. After numerous attempts and length of time attempting to gain compliance from the suspect, SWAT was also notified and responded. Numerous tactics were attempted but the suspect was not cooperative. Officers submitted a Search Warrant for entry to take the subject into custody which was approved by a Judge. SWAT and Patrol officers served the search warrant, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident. Suspect was transported to KCJ and booked, via AMR. The suspect had a dog, Animal responded and took possession of the dog. During the arrest process the subject did appear to be in crisis. Miranda warnings given.

#2024-200939/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1635 hours, a BMW motorcycle was travelling at a high rate of speed northbound on Lake City Wy Ne when it ran a red light at N 105/Lake City Wy Ne. As the motorcycle proceeded north, the operator “popped a wheelie”. While this maneuver was being performed a Honda minivan initiated a left, southbound turn onto Lake City Wy Ne from Ne 107 St. The two units collided, and the 33-year-old male motorcycle operator was pronounced deceased on scene by SFD. A Seattle PD DRE responded to evaluate the minivan driver; no signs of impairment were observed. TCIS detectives responded and conducted a scene investigation, no impairment was found, and no arrest was made.
