#2024-201794/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1313 hours, Officers were dispatched to an assist SFD with an intentional fire. Witnesses advised they heard a verbal argument between occupants in an apartment. As the witness peered into the hallway, he noticed the suspect holding lighter fluid and smoke starting to emerge from the unit. The suspect had set fire to a couch inside the unit. The building sprinkler system was activated, which caused water damage to the apartment and several other apartments from the 13th to the 1st floor of the building. The suspect left the scene before SFD and SPD arrived. A Fire Marshal responded, and ABS was advised.

#2024-202042/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1800 hours, the victim’s vehicle was car prowled. The victim received phone notifications that the suspects were using his credit card at a nearby supermarket. When the victim located the suspect, a physical struggle ensued. While following the suspects to their car, one suspect made threats to kill him while calling him homophobic slurs. The victim stated he feared for his safety, and he felt the suspects would carry out these threats, so he disengaged. The victim stated that he felt the suspect made these threats based on his sexual orientation. Suspects still at large. 223 Notified along with mandatory notifications via SIR.

#2024-202334/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2356 hours, officers were dispatched to the area of Rainier Av S / S Massachusetts St to investigate a reported Robbery. The Victim (Male) stated shortly prior to calling 9-1-1, he was riding his electric scooter on the Mountains to Sound Trail near the dispatched area. The Victim stated as he was passing the Suspect (Male) on the trail, the Suspect shoved him, causing him to fall off his electric scooter and onto the ground. The Victim stood up and as he was holding onto his electric scooter, the Suspect told him to give him everything he had. The Suspect then hit the Victim’s arm and the Victim let go of his electric scooter. The Victim stated at some point the Suspect restrained the Victim’s L arm behind his back. The Victim stated the Suspect produced what he believed to be a small black firearm and a knife from the small of his back, pointed it at him and stated he was going to hit him with it. The Suspect then got on the Victim’s electric scooter and left NB on the trail. The Victim was not injured in the incident. No physical evidence was located, and an area check for the Suspect yielded negative results. The Robbery Unit was notified.
