#2024-216660/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0028 hours, Officers responded to the 2000 block of S Eddy St for a report of a suspicious male. Officers arrived in the area and were flagged down by residents stating that a naked male was attempting to break into their home. The suspect attempted to break into two homes. Officers conducting an area check located the naked suspect and gave verbal commands. The suspect appeared to be in mental behavioral crisis as he disregarded the officers’ commands and charged at them. A short foot pursuit ensued and during the pursuit the suspect was yelling at the officers to shoot him. The suspect ran towards I-5 and jumped that barrier and ran out onto NB I-5 where he was struck by two NB vehicles. The suspect was pronounced deceased on scene. WSP responded and took primary on the collision as it was their jurisdiction. 243 responded, Car 23, Fit, homicide, media were notified on the incident. No officers were injured.
#2024-216673/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0055 hours, Officers responded to a hold up panic alarm located at the 4800 BLK of Erskine Wy SW. When officers arrived, they were informed that a robbery occurred. Two suspects wearing masks walked inside the 7-11, and one of the suspects forcefully grabbed the clerk demanding money. The two suspects grabbed money and Swishers. The suspects fled the scene possibly in a black vehicle. Officers checked the area for the suspects, but they weren’t located. The SPD Robbery Unit was notified.
#2024-216686/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0120 hours, officers were in the area of the Ohm Nightclub at 172 S Washington St when they heard shots fired. Witnesses started calling 911 describing the possibly involved vehicles fleeing the scene. Officers were able to stop one of these suspected involved vehicles and contacted the occupants. Their vehicle was impounded to the VPR pending a search warrant for the two firearms seen inside of the vehicle. The occupants were identified and released from the scene. While officers were at the scene, a victim was dropped off by a private vehicle at HMC with two GSWs. GVRU responded to the scene and HMC. At HMC, detectives recovered a firearm from the vehicle that dropped off the victim and interviewed the driver/witness. Officers and detectives at the scene recovered over 20 FCCs/bullets from the scene in addition to other evidence. The victim remains in serious but stable condition. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
#2024-216742/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0313 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers were dispatched to investigate a reported stabbing in an apartment located in the 1800 BLK of 8 AV. When Officers arrived, they located 2 individuals with multiple stab wounds. Initially it was believed that the suspect was outstanding, and Neither party was forthcoming as to what had transpired. However, based upon available evidence it was apparent that both parties had engaged in what can best be described as a knife vs. sword battle ranging across the inside of their apartment. Both parties had stabbed each other over the body and head, and as both had invoked their right to remain silent it was not clear as to who the primary aggressor was. The individuals involved were brothers, and both were arrested for DV Assault 2. This incident was screened by the DV unit.
#2024-217300/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1705 hours, Officers responded to a call of an AMR that had a brick thrown at it and a medic injured. There were also holding calls of unoccupied cars that had broken windows from a brick thrower. Officers arrived and found that the AMR medic had a possible broken jaw, and the ambulance had been stopped with a patient, so another ambulance needed to be called to take the patient from the first ambulance. Officers were able to get a license plate and description of a suspect that threw the brick. Multiple officers began conducting an area check and were flagged down by several other drivers in the area with broken car windows. The same suspect had been driving around the neighborhood breaking windows and throwing bricks at occupied cars. The other victims gave the same description. The registered owner of the suspect vehicle had an address in the area. Officers were able to locate the address, and the suspect vehicle was at the location, unoccupied. The suspect was located and arrested at his residence. The suspect was booked into jail for multiple felony assaults and felony property damage.
#2024-217664/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2250 hours, a vehicle was travelling at the 1200 BLK of Alki Ave SW and drove towards a motorcycle and electric bike travelling in the opposite direction. The suspect vehicle then drove towards the electric bike a second time and flashed his emergency lights. The suspect stopped his vehicle in the roadway. The two victims approached the suspect’s vehicle from the rear and the suspect backed up striking one of the victims. The same vehicle was involved in a hit and run of a different vehicle. The suspect vehicle was located later in the night and towed to the VPR. The suspect wasn’t located. Homicide was notified about the incident.
