#2024-216233/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1617 hours, the victim called 911 to report a male broke into his apartment, pointed a gun at his family and took his bicycle. The caller stated he was in his unit with his children and that the suspect was in the lobby. Victim provided a description, and the suspect was detained as he left the building. An automatic BB gun was found on the subject. Probable cause was developed for Burglary and Assault 1. The suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ.
#2024-216051/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1400 hours, there was a planned demonstration at Westlake Park. Intel, CRG, POET, and 2nd Watch West units were assigned to the event. The demonstration began at 1300 with an attendance of less than 100 people. There were speeches, chants, and drums at the location with no disturbances. The crowd dispersed without incident at roughly 1445 hours. Unit 212 was on scene and monitored the event.
#2024-216510/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2129 hours, a call received reporting a DV Burglary with threats to kill. Officers arrived on scene, established probable cause; the suspect was still inside an apartment. Officers contained the unit and attempted to establish a dialog. A search warrant was obtained. HNT responded. SWAT commander responded. The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
