At 0205 hours, the proprietors of a bar in the 9400 block of Delridge Wy Sw called 911 after hearing gunfire nearby. They exited the bar and saw what they described as a black male and a Hispanic male involved in a disturbance across the street on 16th Av Sw, and moments later heard another gunshot. Officers immediately responded to the area and found that King County and Burien Police were investigating the scene just one block south of Sw Roxbury St, in their jurisdiction. However, a blood trail led from their scene to Seattle where the disturbance involving the black and Hispanic males. One spent shell casing was found there as well. Moments later, a man matching the description of the black male was said by a call north of that location to be breaking into her home. Officers responded to that scene and found a black male armed with a 9mm handgun. Surveillance footage was found from the King County incident, showing that the male we had in custody was involved in the King County shooting. He was booked into KCJ for Investigation of Burglary and VUFA, as he is a convicted felon. King County handled the charges for their incident. The 9mm handgun in his possession was the property of a murder victim in Federal Way, and the ammo in the half-spent magazine matched the spent shell casings at both scenes. The supposedly Hispanic male later showed up at the scene with an injury he sustained to his right hand when he punched out the window of his own vehicle in the King County incident. He was uncooperative and there was no probable cause to place him under arrest.
