Police Investigating Shooting in Yesler Terrace, Three Men Injured by Gunfire

Seattle police are investigating a shooting in the Yesler Terrace neighborhood Wednesday night.

On September 11th at 8:08 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting near 11th Avenue South and East Fir Street. When they arrived, they located three males, ages 30s-50s, suffering from gunshot wounds, they provided medical aid to the victims.

One of the victims was shot in the shoulder, he was treated by the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) and transported to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) in serious, but stable condition.

The second victim was shot in the buttocks. He was also treated by SFD and transported to HMC in stable condition. The third victim was shot in the leg and was treated by SFD and transported to HMC in stable condition as well.

Police determined that prior to this incident, approximately six people were heard arguing in the area. However, the circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit arrived and processed the crime scene, they have taken lead on this investigation.
