#2024-318404/West Precinct/First Watch:
At at approximately 0445 hours, SPD officers were dispatched to contact a person in crisis in the West Precinct area. Upon further investigation, the officers learned the subject’s new legal name was attached to a felonly fugitive warrant out of Battle Creek, MI. The fugitive warrant was verified after several phone calls to the right agency. The suspect was arrested based on the fugitive warrant and booked into the King County Jail. Great work by patrol officers to get this suspect arrested. Unit 211 and SAU were notified of the incident.
#2024-318606/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0442 HRS, Officers responded to a shooting call. Officers located the victim and learned that an unknown suspect, who unprovoked, fired rounds at the victim’s vehicle striking it three times. The victim was not injured. The scene was located at N 95 ST and Palatine Ave N. Officers located two 9mm FCC and one 9mm round. No other damaged property was located. The suspect and their vehicle were not located. GVRU and 251 were notified. Patrol processed the scene.
#2024-318736/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0930hrs the complainant called as he found a fired slug and hole in the wall of his unoccupied upstairs bedroom. Officers recovered the bullet and canvassed the area. Footage from a nearby camera (audio only) revealed there were five shots fired just before 0400hrs. There is no suspect information and no FCC’s were located.
#2024-318715/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0900 hours, patrol officers were conducting proactive enforcement in the West Precinct area. Upon further investigation, the officers arrested two suspects for VUCSA with Intent to Deliver. Narcotics, ledgers, money, and phones were collected and submitted as evidence.
#2024-318755/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 1008 hours, officers responded to the report of a suspect breaking into the victim’s vehicle near 2nd Ave/Virgina St. The suspect, who was reportedly armed with a knife, was confronted by the victim, who called 911. The suspect fled when he saw officers approaching the area. Officers quickly located the suspect and attempted to take him into custody. The suspect resisted arrest, assaulting one officer and attempting to remove another officer’s duty weapon from the holster. The officers deployed their tasers, both of which malfunctioned. The suspect broke away from officers and fled to the area of 1st Ave/Blanchard St. where he was taken into custody. SFD responded to the scene to treat the injured officer and suspect. The officer’s injuries were minor, and no additional medical care was necessary. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Assault 3 and Attempting to Disarm an Officer. 211 responded to the scene.
#2024-318903/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1324 hours, Officers of the West Precinct were attempting to facilitate a coordinated effort with other City of Seattle partners to clean 12 Av S / S Jackson St as part of the DAT efforts in the area. Several demonstrators, who were functioning as service providers prior to the cleaning efforts, intentionally prevented the cleaning services from being performed. Officers deescalated the situation by rescheduling the cleaning for a different date and time. 222, Capt., were notified.
#2024-318940/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1427 hours, Officers were dispatched to an alarm call at a bank. The bank was closed and the alarm company confirmed that someone was in fact inside the business. When officers arrived, the suspect entered an office, locked the door and refused to exit. HNT responded and assisted with attempting to get the suspect to voluntarily exit the office. A bank manager responded to the scene and gave officers keys to enter the office area. After several more attempts to get the suspect to comply and exit, officers made entry into the office. The suspect was placed under arrest without incident. Suspect was booked into the King County Jail for burglary.
#2024-319246/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2151 hours, a male suspect entered the Empire Smoke Shop at NE 125 ST / 15 AV NE. The suspect brandished a firearm at the store employee and took two gas canisters which were valued at approx. $300 each. Officers were in the area and observed the suspect fleeing the scene. A short foot pursuit was initiated until officers lost line of sight with the suspect. Containment was set up and a track was attempted with the assistance of KCSO K9s. Suspect was not located.
