#2025-31348/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0205 hours, officers responded to the 1400 block of 2 AV to assist SFD for a subject in crisis. Officers contacted the subject who requested the sobering van. While waiting for the sobering van, a driver parked their minivan nearby, leaving it unlocked while they made a delivery. The subject entered the unlocked van. The driver attempted to confront the subject who had since located and took possession of a loaded Glock firearm left inside the vehicle. The subject was not responsive to officers? commands and the incident was treated as a barricaded person. After more than thirty minutes and assistance from multiple precincts, compliance was gained, and the subject was taken into custody. 213 was on scene.
#2025-31454/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0827 hours, officers were dispatched to a delayed assault call in Boy sector. During the investigation, the victim stated to officers that the suspect assaulted him on 2/2 because of his perceived race. The suspect was informally identified by the victim and witness via a google search. Unit 222 was notified of the incident. An alert email was sent to the Bias Crimes Coordinator, PIO, and Violent Crimes Section Captain
#2025-31720/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1351 hours, officers were dispatched to a call of a robbery with a knife. A suspect had pulled a knife on staff while stealing items and threatened them. Officers quickly responded to the area and located the suspect nearby. The suspect was still armed with the knife and uncooperative with officers when contacted but he eventually dropped the knife and was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into KCJ.
