
Police are investigating an early morning stabbing in Seattle’s New Holly neighborhood.
At 1:03 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 6900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South. Apartment staff discovered a 47-year-old man collapsed and unconscious in the building lobby near the elevator. He appeared to have sustained serious injuries.
Seattle Fire Department arrived on the scene and began life-saving efforts. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition, where it was later determined that he had suffered stab wounds.
Officers checked an apartment that may have been connected to the disturbance, but no one was found. The victim remains in serious condition and is undergoing medical procedures.
No suspects are in custody, and the Homicide/Assault Unit is investigating the incident to determine the events leading up to the stabbing.
