#2025-150306/East Precinct/Second Watch/C3:
At 1250 hours, officers responded to a call for service for a DV assault in C-3. The reporting party was stating that the suspect pulled a knife and was attempting to stab the victim who was holding a child. Officers responded quickly to the apartment complex and located the suspect and victims still inside. Officers conducted their investigation finding that the suspect was arguing with the victim who is her mother. The argument escalated with the suspect pulling out a kitchen knife and attempting to stab her mother and her adolescent sister. Another victim who was inside the apartment stepped in the way to protect the mother and was cut in the hand. Officers placed the suspect in custody without incident and booked her into KCJ. DV Unit was notified of this incident.
#2025-150304/North Precinct/Second Watch/J3:
At 1250 hours, the suspect called the victim at the victim’s place of employment, saying that the suspect had kidnapped the victim’s wife from their home (wife was working from home this day), and would shoot her if a ransom was not paid. The victim paid the ransom to multiple accounts provided by the suspect. The victim then called 911 after deciding to head home from work. SPD units arrived at the house first and made contact with the wife verifying she was safe and that no one had come to the house or tried to kidnap her.
#2025-150369/West Precinct/Second Watch/K1:
At 1400 hours, Officers responded to a “help the officer” on the waterfront. Washington State Troopers were on patrol and were attempting to escort a subject off of state property when the subject attempted to assault the troopers. Multiple units arrived and formed a contact team. The subject told he was under arrest and to get on the ground. The subject took a fighting stance and moved towards officers. Type 2 use of force was used, and the subject was taken into custody. The subject was booked into King County Jail for assault 3. 212 notified.
#2025-150862/North Precinct/Third Watch/U2:
At 2307 hours, officers responded to reports of an armed robbery the intersection of NE 47 St and University Way NE. Officers contacted the RP at his residence nearby who reported that approximately 25 minutes prior while walking through the above intersection he was approached by an unknown male who pointed a black handgun at him and stated “give me all you have.” Suspect took RPs cell phone and ran northbound on foot. Due to the time-delay and foot traffic in the area K9 was unable to track. Officers checked the area without locating anything.
