Police Investigating Stabbing in Queen Anne

Seattle police officers are investigating the stabbing of a 34-year-old man in Queen Anne early this morning.

At 1:48 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of an assault outside of a gas station in the 600 block of Elliot Avenue West. Police located a victim, alert and conscious, with a stab wound to the neck. Officers provided medical aid to the victim until the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) arrived and took over treatment.

The victim did not cooperate with officers and was unwilling to provide them with details about the incident. SFD transported him to Harborview Medical Center in serious, but stable condition.

Police could not immediately review the security footage from the gas station. They determined that the suspect and victim exited a car in the parking lot, yet the circumstances leading up to the stabbing are under investigation.

King County Sherriff’s Deputies in the Metro and K9 Units responded to assist SPD. Deputies conducted a K9 track, yet police did not find the suspect. Police impounded the vehicle and took it to the Processing Room for additional evidence search.

Detectives in the Homicide & Assault Unit are assigned to this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000. Anonymous tips are accepted.
