#2025-180709/West Precinct/First Watch/D1:

At 1109 hours, officers responded to investigate a robbery in the West Precinct area. Upon further investigation, the suspect entered the store and attempted to pay for the products. The suspect pulled out his wallet to look for money. He put his wallet back in his pocket, then produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled the store on foot after he got the cash from the store. Officers conducted an area check but the suspect was not located. 

#2025-180820/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch/F2:

At 1321 hours, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Delridge Way SW / SW Thistle. A homeowner in the area flagged down officers for assistance. During the investigation, it was determined an armed subject had arrived at the victim’s home the previous night looking for a specific person who does not reside at this address. The subject was armed with a revolver and left after checking the home interior (not reported). Today, several renters of the home were inside when they heard shots coming from the street. Officers located bullet hole damage to the home and a vehicle in the driveway. GVRU was notified of the incident.

#2025-179596/North Precinct/Second Watch/B3:

At 2100 hours, officers were dispatched to a theft call in Boy sector. The victim stated to officers that on 6/27 the suspect entered his property and removed the Pride flag from his front porch. In the process of removing the flag, suspect caused damage to the flagpole and the doorframe. Victim stated he felt targeted due to his sexual orientation and presence of the flag.  

#2025-181368/East Precinct/Third Watch/E1:

At 2354 hours, just before midnight, a dark SUV driving southbound on Broadway Ave E from E Roy St struck two pedestrians crossing in a marked crosswalk at E Thomas St, throwing one onto an adjacent sidewalk and leaving one in the street. The vehicle then fled, continuing southbound on Broadway, where it collided with an occupied vehicle at E Republican St. Again, the vehicle fled. Witness and Metro Bus cameras confirmed the type of vehicle and that it was involved in both collisions. Thankfully, injuries to the pedestrians were minor. Both transported to local hospitals by AMR. Area check was negative for suspect vehicle. TCIS consulted.

#2025-181283/North Precinct/Third Watch/U1:

At 2214 hours, witnesses reported a possible robbery with a knife in the 5200 Block of University Way NE. Officers arrived and contacted the victim, through a translator, officers were able to determine that an unhoused male had approached an older couple in the alley outside their property. The suspect began yelling at them, which they did not understand due to language barrier. The suspect then punched the victim knocking him to the ground, pulled out a knife and tried stabbing him until he was chased off by the victim’s wife with a pole. SPD K9 responded and located the suspect during a track who was taken into custody without issue. A fixed blade knife was recovered in the suspects property. Suspect was booked into KCJ.
