Police Arrest Felony Warrant Suspect, Recover Meth, Cocaine, Fentanyl, and Cash

Seattle police officers arrested a 41-year-old man, and felony warrant suspect, in possession of drugs and cash near Magnuson Park yesterday afternoon.

On July 2, at about 2:30 p.m., patrol officers located the suspect near the 6900 block of 62nd Avenue Northeast. He was wearing a red backpack, and according to the police report, when officers approached him, he took it off and laid it down next to him, saying, “that’s not my backpack.”

Inside the backpack, police recovered 93.3 grams of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Fentanyl, along with scales, and packaging materials. Police also recovered $811 from the man’s clothing.

Officers arrested the man for the Department of Corrections warrant for Escape Community Custody-Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a $10,000 warrant for Assault (DV), and multiple narcotics violations.

Police booked the suspect into the King County Jail. Detectives in the Narcotics Unit are assigned to this case.
