#2025-165307/North Precinct/Second Watch/K1:
At 1100 hours, CRG, in coordination with homicide detectives, located and arrested a suspect wanted for a politically motivated felony assault that occurred during an anti-ICE protest. The suspect was booked into KCJ without incident.
#2025-1007736/East Precinct/Third Watch/E1:
At 1910 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired. Officers arrived in the area and located 3 subjects located at a bus shelter, one of them fit the description provided by the reporting party. All 3 subjects were detained for investigation. During the investigation, a single 9mm spent shell casing and a firearm were recovered. The suspect was booked into KCJ on discharging the weapon and carrying without a CPL. One of the other suspects at the scene was identified and found to have a felony warrant and was booked into SCORE jail. The third subject was released without incident.
#2025-201012/East Precinct/Third Watch/C3:
At 2341 hours, officers responded to a report of a person having a gun pulled on them in the park. Officers arrived and located the reporting party who stated that he was approached by a male that accused him of speaking to his woman and pulled a gun on him. The RP stated he was also armed and left to call police. As the officers approached the location on foot, they observed the suspect slash the tire of an unknown SUV before throwing something down and walking away. After several commands, the officers eventually went in to place handcuffs on the suspect who began to resist. Several of his friends approached officers and attempted get between officers and the suspect. During the disturbance, the suspect pulled away from officers aggressively and fell backwards over a small wall, landing on the grass below (approx. 3-foot drop). The suspect was placed in handcuffs and SFD and AMR were called to evaluate him. One of his friends was also arrested for obstruction for attempting to again place himself between officers and the suspect. The suspect was transported to HMC to be treated. No officers were injured during the disturbance. Spring loaded pocketknife was located where officers observed the suspect throw it down. The only firearm that was present was legally owned and carried by the RP.
