Police Investigate Stabbing That Injured Man in University Heights

Seattle police are investigating a stabbing that left a 65-year-old man injured early Friday morning in the University Heights neighborhood.

At 12:26 a.m., officers responded to the 5000 block of Roosevelt Way Northeast after receiving reports of a man being stabbed. When officers arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground with stab wounds to his neck, left shoulder and legs. Police provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and began life-saving efforts. The man was then transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

The victim appeared to be highly intoxicated and unable to explain what had happened. No suspect has been identified or taken into custody.

The Seattle Police Department’s Homicide and Assault Unit is leading the investigation.
