Seattle police are investigating a shooting that seriously injured a man early Sunday, August 10, in the Belltown neighborhood.
At 1:57 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in an alley north of 66 Bell Street. They arrived and found a 20-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper chest. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Police searched the area but did not locate a suspect.
Detectives from Gun Violence Reduction Unit are leading the investigation and working to determine what led to the shooting.
