#2025-170390/East Precinct/Second Watch/E3:
At 1500 hours, on 6/20 an SPD officer was investigating a DV assault when the suspect fled on foot and discharged multiple rounds from a handgun at the officer. The suspect was subsequently apprehended; however, the firearm was not recovered at the time of arrest. DV detectives continued the investigation and determined that the suspect had concealed the firearm in a garage during the foot pursuit. From jail, the suspect enlisted his girlfriend to burgle the garage and retrieve the firearm, which she then concealed at her residence. On 8/7 CRG officers arrested the girlfriend on charges of evidence tampering, burglary, and rendering criminal assistance. A search warrant was executed at her residence, resulting in the recovery of the firearm believed to have been used in the assault on the officer.

At 1431 hours, officers responded to a report of a strong-armed robbery involving two suspects. Officers located a victim and a suspect at the scene. probable cause was established to arrest the suspects for robbery and the one contacted suspect was taken into custody. There was an additional strong-armed robbery incident nearby with similar suspect descriptions. officers at that scene were able to link the in-custody suspect to both incidents. One suspect who retained the stolen items from both robberies, was not located during an area search and is outstanding at this time.
#2025-225389/East Precinct/Second Watch/E2:
At 1602 hours, East Precinct Mountain Bike officers were conducting proactive patrol at Nagle PL and E Olive St when they observed a male smoking marijuana in the driver seat of a vehicle. Officers contacted the suspect and upon the completion of their investigation arrested the suspect for DUI. Officers observed in plain view pistol ammunition inside the vehicle. A search warrant was completed and officers seized said firearm. Suspect booked into KCJ for VUFA / DUI
