Seattle police officers arrested a 33-year-old felony warrant suspect with a history of running from officers following a foot chase though the Chinatown-International District.

On Aug. 12 at 7:10 p.m., patrol officers found the suspect, known to law enforcement, near 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. The man immediately ran away from officers, and they chased after him through the streets and into a nearby parking lot.

Police quickly captured the suspect, deploying a taser during the arrest. Officers arrested him for:

  • $25,000 warrant for Burglary, Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer
  • $10,000 warrant for Malicious Mischief

Officers believed the suspect tossed a gun during the foot chase, but they did not locate it. Police recovered:

  • Ammunition, firearm accessories
  • 1.4g Methamphetamine
  • 0.7g Cocaine
  • $148 cash

Seattle police transported the suspect to the King County Jail (KCJ), however jail officials declined booking him pending medical evaluation. Police transported him to Harborview Medical Center for evaluation. Once discharged, they booked him into the KCJ.

Additional charges may be added for narcotics possession and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer.
