#2025-257031/West Precinct/Second Watch/Q2:
At 1340 hours, officers in the west precinct responded to a disturbance with a brandished knife. Officers arrived and developed probable cause for Felony Harassment leading to the formation of a contact team in preparation for a barricaded subject. The suspect was not compliant with HNT officers which led to the application of a search warrant. During the warrant application process, further investigation revealed multiple inconsistencies with the victim’s initial account of the incident. The alleged victim later recanted her entire version of thus rendering the initial determination of probable cause non-viable. All criminal investigations ceased, and the number of officers were reduced at the scene.
#2025-257529/South Precinct/Third Watch/R3:
At 2229 hours, a juvenile victim was standing outside of their residence attempting to photograph the red moon when the suspect approached them from behind demanding “give me all your stuff”. The suspect was able to obtain the victim’s cell phone then reportedly pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victim and threatened the victim if they didn’t give them their password to open the phone. The victim gave the suspect the password but was then able to flee the scene to safety. The suspect was last seen on a Lime Scooter. An area check was completed for the suspect, but they were not located.
