At 1834 hours, officers from the West precinct responded to a woman setting a restaurant bathroom on fire in the 500 block of 1 Ave N. The suspect had a few drinks and went to go use the bathroom. Several minutes later smoke began pouring out at the base of the door. The fire suppression system sprayed the fire and flooded the restaurant. The suspect when contacted by staff began to stab herself in the neck, creating life threatening injuries. Officers were able to secure the scene and facilitate getting fire into the restaurant to begin rendering aid. At the time of the fire, the building was occupied by roughly 20 patrons and staff members who had to be evacuated from the establishment. ABS was contacted and the incident was screened as an attempted arson.

At 1926 hours, two subjects were walking along Beacon Av S exercising with weighted backpacks when two unknown suspects approached on electric scooters and demanded the two subjects give them everything they had. When the subjects handed over their backpacks, which were filled with rocks, the subjects were not satisfied with the contents. The suspects produced a handgun and a long gun and again demanded everything they had. The subjects complied with the demands and provided them with their wallets, and the suspects left the area on scooters. A transaction was attempted at QFC on Rainer Av S but declined. Video evidence obtained, photos of suspects were distributed via email department wide.
