Seattle police officers are investigating a stabbing in the Central District this evening.
Just before 7:00 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of stabbing in the 1800 block of South Jackson Street. There, police found a woman inside of an apartment suffering from stab wounds.
Police and the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) treated the victim. SFD transported her to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition where she underwent emergency surgery.
The 21-year-old suspect left the area on foot before officers arrived. SPD and a King County Sheriff’s K9 team searched the area, yet they could not find her.
