At 0124 hours, a caller reported that a man attempted to break into their occupied residence. Alarm footage showed the suspect leaving after the alarm was triggered and entered a vehicle. A short time later, while checking the area, officers came across the suspect vehicle crashed into a parked car unoccupied at Madrona/Howell. Officers established containment and KCSO K9 responded to track for the suspect and deployed two dogs on tracks. The suspect was not located. The vehicle was reported as stolen from Seattle. Evidence was recovered from inside of the vehicle.

At 1242 hours, officers proactively contacted a suspicious vehicle that was parked at 23rd Avenue and South Jackson Street. The suspect driver fled the scene on foot while officers detained the passenger. The vehicle returned as stolen and officers observed numerous narcotic paraphernalia inside the vehicle. After an extensive area search, officers located the suspect hiding behind a shed in a nearby parking lot. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with possession of stolen vehicle, DUI and possession of another’s identification. The suspect had a non-extraditable felony warrant for sex offender failure to register.

At 2334 hours, officers responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival evidence was discovered and collected. No cameras were located. No reported injuries or property damage. No suspect information.
