Seattle police arrested a 41-year-old man last night for trespassing on private property while in possession of unlawful weapons.
On Jan 28, just after 11:00 p.m., officers were flagged down by a security guard in the 100 block of Broadway East. The security guard told officers about a man trespassing on a property he oversees.
When approached by the guard, the trespasser refused to leave. When he also refused officers’ orders to leave, he was arrested.
During the arrest, police recovered a black hatchet with a duct-tape handle and a makeshift push-dagger wrapped in wire.
According to the police report, “This type of dangerous knife does not appear to have any use other than to harm another human being.”
The suspect is a convicted felon and is known to be assaultive to officers.
Police booked the suspect into the King County Jail for Criminal Trespass and Unlawful Use of Weapons.
