Man Stabbed During Domestic Disturbance in Chinatown-International District

Police are investigating a stabbing in Chinatown-International District that left a man seriously injured.

Shortly after midnight early Wednesday morning, March 18, officers received reports of a stabbing at an apartment in the 900 block of South Jackson Street. Officer arrived and found a 38-year-old man suffering from stab wounds to the head and neck. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived. Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

A 24-year-old woman remained on scene and was taken into custody.

The police investigation revealed the man and woman were involved in an altercation, and the man was pepper sprayed shortly before the stabbing.

Detectives from the Domestic Violence Unit will be working to determine what led to the stabbing.

The woman was transported to King County Jail, where she was booked for investigation of assault.
