Police Investigating South Seattle Stabbings

Seattle police officers are investigating two stabbings in the Rainier Valley this morning.

At about 6:10 a.m., patrol officers responded to a stabbing in the 8100 block of Rainier Avenue South. There, they found a 33-year-old man in the parking lot with a stab wound the to the leg. Police and the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) provided medical aid to the victim. SFD took him to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) in stable condition.

While investigating, officers responded to another stabbing in the 8800 block of 36th Avenue South. There, they found a 38-year-old man with a knife laceration to his stomach. Police determined that both stabbings were related, and the suspect was known to the second victim. An ambulance transported the victim to HMC with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect left the scene before police arrived. No arrests were made. Patrol officers processed both scenes, took photographs, and collected evidence.
