At 1100 hours, West Patrol officers conducted proactive patrols around the 12 Ave S / S Jackson St corridor. Officers conducted patrols on foot and in vehicles to disrupt the use of narcotics and illegal vending in the area. Officers on-viewed numerous violations and PEO’s impounded two vehicles. Officers made two arrests during the emphasis, one for an illegal weapon and another for outstanding warrants.

At 1424 hours, officers responded to a report of property damage in an apartment building common area. Officers establish probable cause. Officers negotiated with the suspect, getting him to come out of his residence. Officer attempted to place the suspect in custody, but he began grabbing and kicking the Officers. The suspect was eventually taken into custody. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Assault 3.

At 1734 hours, officers responded to an assault call at the Don Armeni Boat Ramp. A large group of teens were celebrating when three cars pulled up with another group of teens (both groups were of the same ethnicity). One teen from the vehicles that arrived produced a bat and proceeded to assault a teen from the group that was already there. The victim was struck multiple times, including in the head. The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries but possibly had a broken arm. The victim was transported via AMR to HMC.

On 1901 hours, officers responded to a drive-shooting on Alki Beach. When Officers arrived, they located multiple shell casings, many witnesses and no victims. Security footage showed one vehicle shoot at another as they drove past each other. The scene was processed and then reopened.

At 2008 hours, several callers reported multiple gunshots heard. Officers arrived and the victim reported he was in his vehicle when the suspect walked around the corner and fired multiple shots at him, hitting his vehicle multiple times. The victim was not injured. The suspect left in an unknown direction. Officer recovered evidence and GRVU was notified.

At 2256 hours. officers responded to location reference a male forcibly accessing the front door to an apartment complex. Upon arrival, an area check was conducted, and officers located the male at an adjacent residence messing with the front door. Officers attempted to detain the man, but he tried fleeing over a fence. As officer’s were taking the male into custody, he assaulted two officers, resulting in no injuries. The male was subdued and taken into custody. The subject was booked into KCJ for investigation of burglary and assault.
