Update: Detectives Seek Assistance Investigating 2024 Homicide at Dr. Jose Rizal Park

Seattle Police Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help investigating the August 2024 murder of a man at Dr. Jose Rizal Park.

The victim, Kylan Dingui, was one of dozens of people at the park on the night of Aug. 26, 2024. Witnesses tell police that a gray or silver vehicle stopped near the victim, two men got out of the sedan, and gunfire erupted. Dingui was fatally wounded; two young women were injured after being struck by bullets.

Police are hoping to obtain any photos or video from in and around the park that night. Detectives would also like to talk to any witnesses.

“We are asking the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding this senseless murder,” said Asst. Chief Nicole Powell. “Anyone with information is urged to contact the investigator. Anonymous tips are welcome.”

Detectives Investigating Homicide in North Beacon Hill

Seattle police detectives are investigating a homicide in the North Beacon Hill neighborhood last night.

At 11:51 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a woman stating she was shot inside of a vehicle in the 1000 block of 12th Avenue South at Dr. Jose Rizal Park.

When police arrived, they located the adult female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. An adult male also was shot multiple times.

Police and the Seattle Fire Department provided emergency medical treatment to the young woman, and she was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. A third adult female passenger inside of the vehicle was not injured.

Police cordoned off the area until the detectives with the Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation Units arrived and processed the scene. The King County Medical Examiner took possession of the deceased victim’s body.

The suspect(s) fled the area and were not located. No arrests have been made at this time.
