At 3:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to reports of shots fired in the 9000 block of Seward Park Avenue South. Officers arrived and found evidence of a shooting in the street in front of the Atlantic City Boat Ramp.
While officers were on scene, dispatch advised that King County Sheriff’s Office deputies were with a 17-year-old male in the 8500 block of 117th Street in the Skyway neighborhood suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The teen said he was shot near Seward Park in Seattle.
Seattle Police officers responded to Skyway and confirmed King County medics were transporting the victim to Harborview Medical Center.
The investigation revealed the victim was in a vehicle with two other boys, ages 13 and 17, and an unidentified driver. They were driving on Seward Park Avenue South when gunshots were heard, and the victim was shot inside the vehicle. The driver then drove the teens to Skyway, dropped them off, and left the area.
