Seattle police officers are investigating a stabbing in the Belltown neighborhood this afternoon.
On April 26, at about 5:45 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a stabbing near 10 Broad Street. There, officers found a 21-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. Police and firefighters treated the victim for his injuries. Medics transported him to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Police determined that a group of people were at a celebration of life ceremony when a fight broke out between multiple individuals. During the altercation, the suspect, a Hispanic male, stabbed the victim multiple times and fled the area on foot before police arrived. Officers searched the area, but they could not find him.
