#2026-114303/East Precinct/First Watch/C3:
At 0440 hours, East Patrol responded to the report of a robbery at gunpoint at 1100 23 AV. The victim stated that known suspects had robbed her of her phone and vape in a unit on the fourth floor of the building. The unit was said to contain 6-10 people, two of which were armed with handguns. Officers contained the area, formed a team and hailed multiple occupants from the unit. There was evidence that at least one more suspect remained in the unit that did not respond to officers. HNT and SWAT responded and a warrant was obtained. SWAT eventually entered the unit and took one suspect into custody. The scene was processed and evidence was collected by patrol. Three arrests were made in all without further incident or injury.
#2026-114412/East Precinct/First Watch/E2:
At 0836 hours, officers were waiting in the East Precinct lobby with the female 16-year-old victim of an armed robbery (26-114303). The subject overheard that CPS had been called. This caused her to become escalated and forcefully slam her head against a window in the lobby multiple times. Officers took hold of her to prevent further self-harm. She violently resisted. She then bit an officer on their arm and slammed her head on the floor. The subject was under arrest for Assault 3, but she is currently on guard at HMC for her self-inflicted head injuries. No officers were injured.
#2026-114521/North Precinct/Second Watch/J2:
At 1246 hours, a suspect was arrested for DV Assault 4; the suspect had to be transported via AMR due to her outlandish behavior. During the transport the suspect spit and assaulted AMR staff. While the AMR paramedic was putting on the spit sock, and SPD Officer was attempting to assist and the suspect bit the officer in the hand. The bite did not break the skin, and no hospitalization was needed. Additional assault charges applied, hazard report completed.
#2026-114601/East Precinct/Second Watch/C1:
At 1248 hours, officers responded to a robbery call of a local business in the area of 15 Av E / E Denny Wy. The victim advised that the two suspects arrived at the location in an SUV and quickly exited the vehicle. The suspect went inside the store and pointed the handgun at the store employee. The suspects demanded money from the cash register. The employee gave about $900 in cash to the suspect. The suspects fled the area in the vehicle. Officers did an area check for the suspects but did not locate them.
#2026-115043/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch/W3:
At 2120 hours, Officers were dispatched to a shots fired near the intersection of 35th AV SW and SW Morgan ST. Officers located multiple shell casings in the intersection just east of 35th AV SW. One victim vehicle owner phoned 911 to report their vehicle being struck by gunfire by a male passenger of an SUV. Victim also reported suspect SUV followed him from the Westwood Village Target. Officers located four bullet holes and one projectile inside victim vehicle which were collected for evidence. A second victim vehicle owner who was traveling southbound on 35th AV SW near SW Morgan ST contacted Officers on scene to report bullet damage to their windshield. Officers discovered two bullet holes along with one projectile inside this second victim vehicle. The second projectile was collected for evidence as well. GVRU was notified.
