At 0450 hours, officers responded to the 6700 block of 4 Ave NW to reports of a person shot. Officers arrived and found an adult male with a GSW to the leg. Officers provided medical aid until SFD transported the subject to HMC in stable condition. During their investigation, officers determined a homeowner had confronted this male after he was observed car prowling several vehicles in the area. After a confrontation, the homeowner shot the car prowler. The homeowner called 911 and waited for officers at the scene. The firearm used during the incident was recovered. GVRU responded to the scene, HMC, and HQ for interviews. The homeowner was identified and released from HQ. The investigation is ongoing.

At 1310 hours, officers responded to a stabbing call near E Marginal Way S and South River Street. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect. The suspect was non-compliant but was eventually taken into custody. Officers located the victim that had been stabbed several times. Officers provided medical aid until Seattle Fire Department. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition. The suspect was transported King County Jail and booked for assault.

At 1854 hours, officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 1600 block of 19th Avenue. Officers recognized that there is an ongoing feud between residents on the 1st and 3rd floors of the apartment building at the address. In the past week matters have been escalating between the two residents. On this occasion, a 33-year-old man, who is the significant other of the 1st floor feuding party, was hanging around the 3rd floor of the apartment building. The suspect was confronted by a 33-year-old brother of the 3rd floor feuding party. The suspect was briefly followed off the premises by the brother where a physical altercation ensued, which ended in a stabbing of the victim. The victim returned to the apartment with a stab wound and was transported to Kaiser Permanente. He was later transferred to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition. Officers attempted to contact the suspect in an apartment on the 1st floor, but he was not at the location. The suspect has been positively identified. Homicide and Assault Unit will be leading the investigation and determine what led to the assault.
