#2026-122938/North Precinct/Third Watch/B3:
At 0109 hours, multiple callers over two precincts reported shots fired in the vicinity of Gasworks Park. Officers responded to Gasworks and located a witness and multiple shell casings. Witnesses reported that the shots were fired from a white Toyota that fled the scene. No victims or property damage were located.
#2026-123288/East Precinct/First Watch/C3:
At 1039 hours, the victim reported that while sitting in her vehicle, an unknown male suspect began tapping on window with a handgun and stated, “Get out and leave everything.” When suspect got in the car, victim ran away with the car keys. When officers arrived, the suspect was gone and nothing was taken from the vehicle. Area check was negative.
#2026-123233/West Precinct/First Watch/K3:
At 0947 hours, the King County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance in the West Precinct area. KCSO advised they had one subject in custody and requested SPD Officers’ presence. Upon further investigation, the deputies were assigned to the court details when one of their marked patrol vehicles was damaged by the suspect. The suspect walked up to the marked patrol vehicle and smashed the rear window with a metal stick, causing a felony charge. After a few logistical issues, KCSO decided to take primary of the incident. SPD officers assisted in transporting the suspect to the King County Jail. It should be noted that RTCC was a great assistance in getting the suspect identified. Unit 211 was notified.
#2026-123388/West Precinct/Second Watch/K3:
At 1204 hours, a suicidal subject was holding a knife to his neck and threatening to charge at Officers. A Type 2 UOF resulted. The subject was taken into custody and involuntarily committed to HMC.
#2026-120622/East Precinct/Second Watch/E2:
At 1300 hours, the Robbery unit and SWAT arrested a suspect who was wanted for two separate armed robberies over the past week. The first was at a gas station in the North end where the suspect entered and pointed a firearm at the clerk while taking money from the cash register. The second robbery was from a carjacking this weekend that occurred in the 8700 block of Lake City Way NE. The Robbery unit received information of the suspect’s location and went to arrest him. SWAT, Robbery, GVRU, and patrol officers moved to the suspects residence in the 1400 block of E Olive way. Containment was sent and the suspect emerged from his unit and jumped off of a balcony, fleeing from SWAT officers. A foot pursuit ensued the suspect was taken into custody. A search warrant was conducted on the suspects unit and items of evidence from the crimes were located, including the stolen vehicle taken in the carjacking. Officers found the stolen car keys in his pocket.
