At 0346 hours, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 123000 block of 31 AV NE. There, they located and spoke with multiple victims who advised a known suspect made threats to kill them and fired several shots in their direction before fleeing on foot. No one was struck by the gunfire, and no property damage was found. Officers canvassed the area and located a single spent casing, which was photographed and submitted as evidence. An area check was conducted but the suspect was not located. GVRU notified.
#2026-126902/East Precinct/Second Watch/E2:
At 1205 hours, officers responded to an Assault call in the area of E Denny Wy / Harvard Av. The victim stated that she was riding a scooter in the area, when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect prevented the victim from moving forward by standing in front of the victim’s scooter. The suspect postured up on the victim and told the person to get off her scooter, while also using racial motivated comments. The suspect then flicked his cigarette towards the victim. The victim felt fearful and a bystander stepped in and assisted with restraining the suspect till the officers arrived on the scene. Officers placed the suspect into custody, and the suspect was transported to KCJ for Malicious Harassment. I screened the incident with 252 and sent the alert email to the follow-up units.
#2026-126536/North Precinct/Third Watch/N3:
At 0312 hours, several 911 calls came in to report shots fired in the area of Fremont Av N / Linden Av N. Callers reported approximately 15 shots heard. Officers responded and did not locate any shell casings or victims. Later that morning, a resident called to report that he found bullet holes in his fence and lawn chair. Officers still attempted to locate a scene of the shooting but were unable to. Officers also found video evidence where you can hear approximately 15 shots. Pictures of the fence and lawn chair were taken and uploaded accordingly.
