Seattle police officers arrested two felons, a 31-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man inside of a stolen car with guns, in South Lake Union last night.
On May 17, just before 9:30 p.m., patrol officers responded to trespassers at a storage facility in the 700 block of Fairview Avenue North. There, they found two people inside of a stolen car, “asleep with drug paraphernalia in their hands,” according to the police report.
Police detained both occupants for questioning. During the investigation, cops recovered two firearms, $666 cash, and 4.6g of fentanyl.
Officers found multiple warrants for the man’s arrest totaling over $430,000, including theft, robbery, driving on a suspended license, possession of a stolen vehicle, hit and run, and escape.
Police booked the suspects into the King County Jail for multiple felonies including possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm, possessing a stolen firearm, and narcotics possession. Both suspects are convicted felons and are prohibited from having guns.
According to the police report, “There was also a large amount of high value items such as laptops, gaming consoles, safes, electronics, clothes, and a drone that are suspected to be stolen.”
Additional charges may be applied as detectives complete their investigation.
