#2026-160630/West Precinct/Third Watch/D1

At 2335 hours, officers responded to the location reference a shooting. Upon arrival, evidence was located on the sidewalk. There were no cooperating witnesses located and no victims were located. Two unoccupied vehicles to the north of the location were found with bullet damage. Patrol processed the scene (evidence collection, canvassed for video surveillance, and photos). Suspect was not located. 213 notified and GVRU was notified via alert email.

#2026-161318/East Precinct/Second Watch/E2

At 1738 hours, officers responded to the 1800 block of Broadway for a fight in progress. While enroute, officers received an update that someone had been stabbed. Officers arrived and found a 35-year-old man with a stab wound to the leg. Officers determined that while in line at a local restaurant, words were exchanged between the suspect and the 21-year-old man. A fight started inside the business but quickly moved to the sidewalk. The victim and his mother fell to the ground where the suspect stood over them, punching them in both their faces. As the victim was punched in the face, he reached for a pocketknife and proceeded to stab the suspect in the upper right thigh. Several witnesses stated it appeared to be self-defense. The victim stated he stabbed the suspect while defending himself and his mother. The suspect was transported to Harborview Medical Center, Seattle Fire Department medics advised he was critical, but in stable condition. The victim was taken into custody without incident and transported to the East Precinct. At the precinct, officers received witness video footage which corroborated the victim’s self-defense account. After confirming with Homicide detectives, the victim was released from the Precinct. This continues to be an active and ongoing investigation.

#2026-161259/North Precinct/Second Watch/J2

At 1621 hours, officers arrived at a crisis call and determined that the ITA criteria had been met. While the subject was being secured to the AMR gurney, the subject (now a suspect) assaulted an officer. The still highly escalated suspect was transported to King County Jail, declined and transported to HMC.

#2026-161568/South Precinct/Third Watch/O1

At 2242 hours, multiple 911 calls were placed regarding a drive by shooting that was in progress in the 2400 Blk of 4th Avenue South. There was a car meetup event at this location with an excess of 150 vehicles and pedestrians in the area. One caller reported seeing multiple males in masks exit a green car armed with handguns. Another caller reported seeing a suspect fire a handgun from the front passenger seat of a vehicle with no plates. Officers located the suspect vehicle traveling southbound on 4th Avenue South through South Front Street. It began evading officers. Pursuit was authorized, and it was followed onto 509 southbound. Officers lost sight of the suspect vehicle on 509 southbound due to excessive speeds. It was never required and the pursuit was terminated. Evidence was located at the scene. No damage or GSW victims were located.
