At 2229 hours, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of NE 135th Ave and 30th Ave NE. A dirt bike (No lights) traveling NB collided with a vehicle traveling WB through the intersection. The adult driver of the dirt bike, who was not wearing a helmet, was rendered aid by SFD personnel. Unfortunately, the driver of the dirt bike was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was released from the scene after being evaluated for impairment. TCIS responded to the scene. A prolonged road closure occurred due to the on-scene investigation.

At 0130 hours, police responded to a report of gunshots in the 3900 block of SW Brandon St. They arrived to find evidence. There were no victims nor property damage. GVRU was notified.

At 0818 hours, five juvenile males entered a convenience store and scattered about the business. One of the juveniles asked for some vapes and the clerk requested identification. The juvenile then promptly pulled a handgun on the clerk and said, “I’ll kill you!” All five juveniles left on foot. The suspects were not located. Robbery unit notified.

At 0930 hours, officers responded to a rollover collision in the NB SR99 tunnel. Upon arrival, officers were able to get the driver out of the vehicle. Neither driver sustained injuries. WSDOT assisted in removing the vehicle from the scene. The tunnel was open after both vehicles were removed.

At 0832 hours, officers responded to a shots fired call in the West Precinct area. Upon arrival, the officers found the victim in the encampment with a GSW. The officers provided medical aid until SFD arrived at the scene to take over medical aid and transported the victim to HMC via AMR. Upon further investigation, the assault occurred stemming from an argument over the garage. The victim didn’t know she was injured until a witness provided medical aid to her. The suspect fled the area shortly after the shooting. KCSO K9 responded to the scene to assist with the track, with negative results. Guarding 1 provided area coverage. The Homicide/Assault Unit and Media unit was briefed as well.

At 1904 hours, officers continuing the focused effort on the 4700 blocks of University Way NE and Brooklyn Av NE made an on-view stop of an observed warrant suspect. Subsequent investigation revealed that the suspect was committing the crime of possession with Intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl. A search recovered methamphetamine and fentanyl separately packaged ready for distribution, loose cash in small denominations, and a supply of small baggies. One suspect was arrested and a car impounded.
