At 1350 hours, security at a grocery store reported that they were robbed by a suspect with a knife. The suspect was reported to have entered the store and attempted to steal flowers. When the security officer intervened, the suspect flashed him with the handle of a knife in his waistband and said something to the effect of I’ll kill you along with a racial slur. The security officer did not believe the crime was motivated by bias. The suspect left on foot. Patrol responded quickly and K-9 was requested. However, the area is a high foot traffic area, and a track was not practical. No suspects are in custody at this time.
