Seattle police are investigating after several racist, anti-immigrant fliers were found at South Seattle synagogues on Sunday.
Police were called to a synagogue in the 6500 block of 52nd Avenue South around 10:30 AM after a man wearing a mask was seen outside the building.
Congregants also found a flier taped to the door, which contained racist and anti-immigrant messages, and included a website URL for a hate-group.
A witness reported seeing a white male wearing a black baseball hat, a black face mask, dark aviator sunglasses, a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, carrying a black suitcase outside the synagogue around the time the flier was found.
SPD’s bias crimes detective is investigating the incident, as well as a similar one at another synagogue. Police have also been conducting additional patrols around area synagogues.
